This toy is really cute! My kids (3 and 5) love it. My husband had no problems putting it together (besides the fact the kids were bugging him at the time)and it seems pretty durable to me. I did test it by half jiggling the bridge and the side came off but that was easy to put back. But it’s not coming off with normal play. I love how the bridge drops down and the train comes through the waterfall. It would be cool to have real water but that would be very messy.

Thomas at Action Canyon is a neat toy, doesn’t take up a bunch of space and assembles easily. The remote con-
trol is a breeze for a toddler and turns itself off after a time of inactivity. It’s nice to look at and can survive the
abuse a three year old can dish out. What we have found with our 3 1/2 year old is that he still prefers his Brio track and train set (all wood construction and strictly kid-powered, no batteries). He can set it up anyway he wants, with as many trains as he wants and let his imagination go wild. He is a great Thomas fan and recreates the situations he has seen on the Thomas stories. The are only limited situations with the Action Canyon, since it can only go one way (can’t go uphill). Frankly, the big kids in our house and adults seem to want to play with Action Canyon more than the toddler, but that’s just us! If we didn’t have the Brio set, I would highly recommend Action Canyon, but I still feel batteries are detrimental to a kid’s learning process.

Both my 2 and 5 year old love this set. They love the fact that they can switch the directions in which the trains travel.
